Der Europa-Font: Die Umrisse der europäischen Länder in einem Font vereint

The Europe font: the european countries' shapes united in one font.

Diese Schrift ist gar keine Schrift. Sie nutzt nur die neue OpenType-Technik für Schriften, um gezielt den Umriss eines Landes auf den Bildschirm zu bringen. Der Font besteht aus dem großen und kleinen Alphabet, also A bis Z und a bis z.
Dazu kommen die maßstabgetreuen Silhouetten von 39 europäischen Staaten.
Tippt man nun die Anfangsbuchstaben eines Landes ein, so erscheint plötzlich das Land – zum Beispiel »ir« für Irland oder »SCHWED« für Schweden. Der Font enhält folgende Länder: Albanien, Andorra, Österreich, Weißrußland, Belgien, Bosnien und Herzegowina, Bulgarien, Kroatien, Tschechien, Dänemark, Estland, Finnland, Frankreich, Deutschland, Großbritannien, Griechenland, Ungarn, Island, Irland, Italien, Lettland, Liechtenstein, Litauen, Luxembourg, Mazedonien, Malta, Moldawien, Montenegro, Niederlande, Norwegen, Polen, Portugal, Rumänien, Serbien, Slowakei, Slowenien, Spanien, Schweden und die Schweiz.

This typeface is no typeface at all. It simply uses the new OpenType-Technique for fonts in order to specifically place the outline of a country on the monitor. The font is made up of the upper and lower case alphabet, A to Z and a to z.
And here are true-to-scale silhouettes from 39 European nations.
Just type the first letters of the name of the country and immediately the country appears – for example »ir« for Ireland or »SWED« for Sweden. The font includes the following nations: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
